Define:
Our client supplies some of the biggest names in the Automotive industry with robotic and automotive conveyor systems. We were approached to design this as part of a larger system that we had already designed, this section is a gravity conveyor with automatic stop.
Design:
A pallet loaded with parts was placed on the back of the conveyor system and the gravity rollers allowed the pallet to slide down to a spring-loaded system with stops on both sides. The operator needs to be able to operate both of the stops at once from a single side of the system. We were able to develop a low cost method for them to be able to do just that. The stops needed to be substantial, to deal with the heavy loads on the pallet.
Deliver:
From specifying the rollers and developing the mechanical stop system, we provided 3D models, assembly and manufacturing drawing and bill of materials to our client to enable them to manufacture and install the system with ease.
