Platforms and Walkways Design
Define:
Our client supplies the food industry with platforms and walkways manufactured from stainless steel. We were approached to design a platform and access system to house two weigh head systems and provide operator access all round.
Design:
The design needed to house two large weigh head systems and fit around the incline conveyors which fed them. We needed to incorporate a staircase to an existing platform and create access areas to the incline conveyors which could not be reached from the ground. The platform needed to be designed to the relevant standards and was installed successfully last year.
Deliver:
The full design suite was provided on this project, from site measure through to FEA and manufacturing drawings. The platform was designed as a modular system to allow it to be taken into the site for installation, without removing doors or any other obstacles existing on site.
Client comments:
Kingston CAD Solutions provided the full package for us in a timely manner. Creating a 3D model from the site survey and completing an FEA report along with all manufacturing drawings. We were able to include this in our package supplied to our client which they were very happy with.
